Welcome to Edinburgh!
BSGE ASM 2018 will take place in the vibrant capital city of Edinburgh. The Scottish Organising Committee have put together a packed programme that includes state-of-the-art lectures, debates, educational demonstrations and research. In addition there will be four pre-congress courses, RIGS break-out sessions and the annual keynote Alec Turnbull lecture.
‘Learning together to transform lives.’
Following on from the successful meetings in Cornwall and Hull, ASM 2018 will offer members the opportunity to hear the latest research, debate the hottest topics in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and learn the techniques and ways in which colleagues from across the world improve the health and wellbeing of women.
The BSGE is a well-respected and influential specialist society. As a group of like-minded individuals, we can share our knowledge and experience. Echoing the conference theme, we will be learning together to transform the lives of both the women we treat directly and those in the wider population, by influencing healthcare policy.
Where and when?
The BSGE ASM will take place from May 9th-11th in Edinburgh. The conference venue is the stunning contemporary building of Dynamic Earth. It is one of Edinburgh’s top visitor attractions and is set in the beautiful landscape of Holyrood Park. However, it is still in the heart of the city, so, there will be plenty of opportunity to make the most of the capital’s attractions.
Edinburgh has excellent transport links and a variety of accommodation ranging from Georgian serviced apartments, to historic hotels and affordable AirBnBs. The Society has negotiated favourable rates from a number of convenient hotels, to make the process easier practically and financially.
