This brand new one day laparoscopic suturing and morcellation course has been rolled out for the first time at the BSGE meeting in Edinburgh. The programme simulates scenarios encountered in laparoscopic surgery (knot tying, vaginal cuff closure and morcellation of specimens) using animal tissue models. This precongress course will be held in the state of art Cuschieri Skills centre, Dundee. We invite you to train and test your laparoscopic suturing skills and morcellation techniques. The course is heavily subsidised by our sponsors. Coach transfers between Edinburgh and Dundee are included.
At the end of this course participants should be able to:
- Tie a safe laparoscopic Surgeon’s knot and laparoscopic tumbled square knot
- Familiarise with extracorporeal knotting techniques
- Demonstrate continuous and interrupted suturing
- Transect specimens using monopolar or bipolar loops and morcellate safely
Maximum no of delegates: 20
Course fee: £200 (Coach transfer included)
