Arthur’s Seat Walk
Our Dynamic Earth is located in Holyrood Park, next to Arthur’s seat. There will be a group hike, or stroll, up to the top to enjoy the breath-taking views of the castle and the city. It’s an easy walk and we plan an afternoon departure so that there is plenty of time to get back in time for the drinks reception!
Enthusiastic runners can take the same route and start at same time, this should allow time to have a shower and be back at drinks reception around same time.
Scotland is known as the home of golf, and for good reason, there are no fewer than nine courses within easy reach of Edinburgh city centre. So, whether you want the challenge of the links at Bruntfield or the parkland of Prestonfield, you should find a course that suits.
A beautiful and cost-effective option is Gullane, which comes recommended by the SOC. It is located on the beach at East Lothian; 20 miles or around 40mins from the ASM venue. It offers a casual flexible arrangement costing just £37 or £57 per round. There are more prestigious courses but the costs are obviously higher and they tend to specify group bookings, so it’s essential to get in touch well in advance.
Wednesday, 9th May
